This is still happening. My animals are aging up and my elder livestock are going to die soon. Aging is off. This shouldn't be happening.
Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Mac
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? September 18th 2024 patch update
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have livestock animals in your household
What happens when the bug occurs? My livestock animals are aging up even though I’m using the animal aging off setting. I keep getting notified that my elder animals might die soon. Animals also seem to get stuck in inventories and the option to place the animal in the shed or on the lot don’t exist anymore.
What do you expect to see? I expect my animals to not age up if animal aging is set to off. I expect animals that are place in your inventory to be able placed back in their appropriate spots.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system?Neutral/Not Sure
My livestock animals are aging up even though my animal aging setting is off. I tried to remedy this by looking for a way to temporarily remove my livestock animals from my current household. I thought that by trying to place them in my inventory (or household inventory) it would “pause” the animal but instead the animal ended up being stuck in my sims inventory instead. There’s no option to assign the animal to my shed or on the lot.
it would be helpful for there to be an option to split the livestock animals from the household for when you can’t accommodate them without them being “active” (your sim moves but still want to keep your animals, need a break, focusing on another aspect of your sims life, etc).
