Yes, renaming the file and wiping all of the content fixed it. Is there any way to play with my old saves and have it still work?

@gewalker98 Renaming the main file back to the original name and playing in an old save, I'm now able to perform the interaction. Thank you, @crinrict for the help.

Nevermind, it stopped working again. No error messages or anything -- the interaction just fails and the sim resets.

@gewalker98Moving my recent save to the new folder that was created when I wiped all the content does not fix the issue -- it still resets.
Just as an aside, drinking any nectar gives my foodie sim an uncomfortable moodlet for "Disappointing Drink," even if it is the highest quality. This feels like an oversight by the developers.

what main file did you rename?
- 3 years ago@Trimoth The Sims 4 file that @crinrict described in the post above. Opening the game after that created a new, completely blank file with no saves. In the new file, the glitch did not occur, but when I renamed the old file (so opening the game would be in the original file) the glitch did not occur at first, but then began to occur again. After that, I switched the names back again so the game would open the newly created file, but I copied the most recent save from the original file (so it was the only one in there) and the glitch still occurred.
