Everyone that has this without mods/cc, please send me their save. I've been unable to duplicate this issue so far.
Be aware that especially in existing games, the first day might still be rabbit hole. The second day should work.
Is there any reason why my comment keeps getting deleted?
In my case it was a bug created by a mod, I think it can also happen to other players who have the same mod.
I posted this reply twice, and it was deleted both times.
"I had more or less the same problem, although in my case "Enable Follow Messages" didn't appear in the career panel of my teen Sims.
At least for me, the faulty mod was this one:
MSQSIMS_25_Vacation_Days_School_Mod (not updated on my side, but the modder updated it on July 28, 2022).
I still need to check that I can follow my teen Sims to high school, but at least now their career panel is complete"

Without being 100 % sure it could be that You're mentioning a specific mod. It is generally not welcomed in this forum. But it's just a guess.
You have a posting with a similar wording in the 'Game and Mod/CC Issues' forum, seem it would be the right forum for it too.
Okay, thanks for the explanation.
Mostly this thread implied the possibility that this bug was also caused by a mod, so I simply went through all my mods and found the faulty one. So it made sense to me to mention my solution.
@hawaiianpunchgrl Are you playing a vanilla game ?
@LilythArdat Everything that is mod related is getting moved over to the thread on mod related.
I still have to go through late to make sure this thread stays vanilla but this thread is for vanilla game issue only.

It's ok to name mods as long as they are not adult mods and linking is not allowed as well.
