I have this same problem, only the teens without tasks become stuck at school and they can’t leave the school lot.
I also have this issue! It is incredibly annoying when they get stuck at school, and I don't know what to do.
sadly I have been having the same issue as Op and everyone else in this thread since the lovestruck patch, in my playthroughs I really like having high school sweethearts in my playthroughs and since this patch it's become impossible to have multiple teens to go to high school together and to get the same achievements/ grading, I've noticed that the only time both teens can go to somewhere related to school and the other one is acknowledged is at prom, but the rest of the time the second teen is a guest at school and cannot leave unless I make them both go to another location, this really sucks and makes this expansion unplayable, I did try multiples times with a different sim families and it just came up with the same issue where the first teen has the high school schedule but the other one doesn't, at first I thought I had done something wrong, which caused a lot of frustration, but now I've realised it's an in game bug, please EA fix this issue, it's been ongoing for more than six months
