just for documentation purposes, this just happened to me in Dec 2024. not with twins, though. my sim left her home in HoB to go to The Gnome's Arms to bake a birthday cake. the home lot is off the grid & they live at 14 Nettle Lane. their infant was in the high chair & dad was feeding him finger foods. or maybe the dad had picked him up? i don't remember. anyway, when my sim returned from the bar with the cake, her husband was upstairs in the house playing chess. the infant was in the woods way over on the opposite bank past the island with the ruins, not too far from where the Creature Keeper lives. it looked like a spawn spot for NPCs/townies. not a huge deal; she teleported there, grabbed him, & took him home. just odd. i've attached pics just to show where he was; house is lower right of the first image & star is where the infant was found.
