[ARCHIVED] Invisible Plants and mid air floating harvestables (on-Lot)

Product: The Sims 4

Platform: PC

Which language are you playing the game in?: English

How often does the bug occur?: Occasionally (10% - 49%)

What is your current game version number?: n/a

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed?: GTW, GT, CL, CD, S, V, OR, SD, DO, JA, LSP, PPSP, SSP, BYSP, BNSP, FSP, MFPSP

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves?: Unsure. I have a suspicion this only happens on out of season spliced plants.

What happens when the bug occurs?: The plant is entirely invisible. I cannot tell if the fruit is also invisible since all the plants this affects are out of season.

What do you expect to see?: A dormant plant!

Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods?: Not now. I've removed them.

Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system?: Yes

Please describe the patch or change you made.: Seasons

I noticed this today. This particular household has a lot of spliced plants and after tending the garden, I noticed water dripping from the air where the plant should be. I've included two screenshots of the same general area. If you look closely, in the nighttime shot, you can see the water drops in the air. The daytime shot shows the plant that is supposed to be there.

I did notice that this is affecting only spliced plants that are out of season: Poison Fireleaf + Fireleaf, Morel Mushroom + False Morel Mushroom, Toxic Camomile + Camomile.

It did NOT affect the spliced trees that are out of season: Plantain + Forbidden Fruit, Cherry + Growfruit.

I'm not sure if any of the other households I play have so many spliced plants. I'll check to see if it's game-wide and I'll try a fresh game and see if it's specific to this save.

    What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Cats and Dogs, Get to Work, Get Together, Growing Together, City Living, Cottage Living, Get Famous, Seasons, Werewolves, Parenthood, Vampires, Moschino Stuff
    Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Plant a fruit or a vegetable and wait for it to mature.
    What happens when the bug occurs? The plants become invisible but the fruits and vegetables that are ready to be harvested are still visible.
    What do you expect to see? I expect to see my plants staying visible.
    Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
    Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

    Whenever I plant a fruit or a vegetable, they always become invisible but the fruits and vegetables that are ready to be harvested are still there. Weeds and bugs also appear. I've tried moving the plants in and out of the household inventory, restarting my game, harvesting the fruits and vegetables before 7am, shift-clicking the plants and making the plants mature again, using LittleMsSam's mod meant to fix the issue, but nothing has worked. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

    @catrocket6 I have that problem too. Since the Grim Reaper Log in rewards. I have no CC nor Mods. I even have not bought any of the latest kits nor Lovestruck expansion.

    This glitch was happening to me, but I think i got a fix! I'm on the newest version with almost every back and close to 5GB of CC and Mods just fyi 🙂

    All I did was clear my cache!

    How to clear your caches (ignore the captilization it's just so people can see better :D) :

    DOCUMENTS -> ELECTRONIC ARTS -> THE SIMS 4

    FROM HERE DELETE localthumbcache.package

    THEN GO INTO THE FOLDER TITLED cachestr (should be at the top of the list) AND DELETE spotlight_en-us.package

    THESE FILES WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY CREATED WHEN YOU BOOT UP THE GAME NEXT

    This might not be an absolute fix, however it worked for me. so I'm sharing it in hopes it can work for you and anyone else!

    It unfortunately did not work for me. I’m hopping it comes in a patch soon! Is so sad to see my pretty sims garden like that. The only fix I’ve found is putting the plant in my house which ain’t ideas with trees.
