So yeah, the option might work as intended, I don't know. But translation for two options is the same. I'm using Russian version.
Issue
There is a bug that should be repaired, but is still happening in my game. Sims put food in their inventory and do not eat it.
I also have two "grab a serving" showing up when I click on food. One make them put food in their inventory and the other make them eat it, but when they grab food autonomously they chose the one that put food in their inventory.
Steps you took for Issue to occur
- No mod installed in my game
- Tried a repair
- Tried a new game by deleting Sims 4 folder in my documents
- Uninstalled all the game and installed in again.

Where does the bug occur ?

this is a matter of bad translation. They are two different interactions and do what they are supposed to do.
The old bug happened when you cooked a several portions and they would just put one serving in their inventory before eating.
These options should not be named the same and are not in English but obviously are in French
They don't put a serving in their inventory right after cooking, right ? Only if you use this interaction ?
Yes it is in French.
The bug happen often and in multiple circonstances.
When my sim cook a new meal. The portion the cook takes is not put in is inventory. This is the only part that is okay
- When my sim use the option to call everyone to eat, they all put it in their inventory.
- When food is on the counter, sim that takes a serving autonomously put it in inventory.
- When food is in the fridge, sims that takes a serving autonomously put it in inventory.
