Same thing happened to me. I got around it by pressing "M" and using that way to travel the map. Once in a new zone, I was able to play as normal. Went back to the First Order District and was able to progress. Had to do this EVERY time I check'd ID though. A bit of a headache but better than quitting without saving and was able to complete the missions.
