I said I would report back if I found anything useful.
I haven't had any issues for a while, have in the meantime moved to a new pc and changed things in my tray folder but everything worked out. The game updated, I added new content (a stuff pack), Origin has updated, the Gallery has had maintenance, I have been able to see what I uploaded in the past months just fine - until the day before yesterday...
All of a sudden I noticed that only my most recent lot shows it has been shared on the Gallery, even though there are plenty of things in my library that I know I have shared (and are in my catalogue). The only thing I did that was out of the ordinary was remove something from my catalogue (a shared item) - it was a build that I had just shared and had been downloaded twice, but I saw a bit of tree clipping through the wall, so I changed that, removed the old build from the Gallery and uploaded the corrected version.
As I am not sure it was this that caused it, I will test this and report back later.
ETA: I did a bit of minor testing, but removing something from your catalogue doesn't cause the issue of shared material not being displayed as shared. I have to add that I haven't been able to exactly copy my previous movements - I will try that once I finish another build, which may take a week or two. I will let you know if it does happen then, if it doesn't I'll probably report back as well.
I think this has been an issue from the beginning. The first thing I created in the game were a few sims, and I noticed that some of them looked like they weren't shared (were missing the symbol). I almost re-shared them but checked the gallery first and saw they were indeed there. I didn't bother with it after that.
