[ARCHIVED] Maid caught in a loop cleaning appliances (Neat Trait)

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Microsoft XBOX One
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.39.7.2300 (64bit)
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? City living, island, get famous, laundry, university, patio, parenthood, Tiny living, spa, movie, backyard, fitness, seasons,
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Buy grill, hire maid
What happens when the bug occurs? Maid opens, cleans, closes grill. Repeats. Over and over until dismissed or fired. Even if grill is brand new and unused.
What do you expect to see? Maid cleans grill only if dirty and only one time, then moves to next task.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

    So... I checked this maid’s traits and indeed he did have the neat trait which now removed thru CAS seems to have fixed the problem for at least the two households I have observed so far. I don’t know if my maid had a previous twin, but I would swear he previously did not have the neat trait. Anyway, I’m suggesting that anyone else who is experiencing this issue double-check your maid’s traits and remove “neat” if it’s there.

    I have these exact same bugs (except the white cake one). I just paid my maid $160 to repeatedly clean the grill. I'm also having produce and flowers moving into the family inventory.

    This is just OLD. Always working on new content to make money because they know it'll be bought even though many bugs aren't fixed. JUST FIX THEM PLEASE.

    Yeah this is still very much happening. It's not much of a fix to have to manage NPCs ourselves to make sure that the maid isn't neat so that this feature will work. I'd kind of want them to be neat so I can trust they'll really clean because some of them just slack around.

    Yes it is still happening, I summoned Bonehilda, and I believe she has the neat trait? She started cleaning the grill and was caught in loop doing it for as long as I endured it, until I removed the grill manually. Then she just drink water, make a puddle on the floor, clean it in a loop...

    Modder LittleMsSam recently made a mod that tunes down Neat sim cleaning frenzy. You can find it on her site under "small mods".

    Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Hire a maid via the phone or Lin-Z for either 1 time only or Scheduled
    What happens when the bug occurs? Maid might pick up some dirty dishes, then tries to spray-clean the mixer and scrutinizes it and repeats until he leaves. Even resetting him does not help. If you dismiss or fire, he will leave only after he's been reset. I should note that the mixer has been upgraded to 'self-cleaning' and in the case of THIS game, hasn't been used yet. Also, this is a SCENARIO couple - In His Shadow (not sure if that matters)
    What do you expect to see? Maid should clean up the messes and leave.

    I am not getting a lastexception file from this error. 

    He will stay forever until his 'time' is up - meaning the max hours have passed AND you have him reset. If you don't reset him, he keeps staying. So either reset and dismiss/fire him or reset after he's exceeded his day of cleaning time. Only then does he leave with all my Simoleans! And often hasn't finished cleaning the place!

    @Siluial Could you take the maid to cas with cheats and check on their traits ? Do they have the neat trait ?

    Also, for testing purposes could you put your upgraded mixer in household inventory and buy a new one and see if the same loop thing happens with one that's not upgraded ?

    I assume you tested this with no mods/cc installed ?

    @crinrict I've tested it with a new mixer, yes. If I do not have the mixer, the maid works perfectly. I'll check on that neat trait...

    @crinrict Ok, he DID have the NEAT trait, so I removed it, replaced it with another -- also his cat in his family needed a breed name (how weird is that?!) ... Now he's working fine. THANKS!

    @Siluial Thanks for confirming. I'm merging this with the other thread we have on this although that was the grill and not the mixer.
