I have also experienced this issue in my save with residential rental lots, and all DLC installed (plus the upcoming expansion pre-ordered.) I have sent in an unmodded save file with the issue replicated.
I have question for you all:
Did you use TOOLS in save?
I have this same issue with plates and bikes but also with items placed by tools - they are duplicated
This issue was seen on saves with and without the TOOL mod 🤗 I first noticed it in a save where I used the TOOL mod, as I placed a lot of objects in the world in this one, making it hard not to notice, but its only one of the many ways you can get objects stuck outside the lot, therefore it can easily affect people playing without mods, especially in older saves.
Has anyone tried running a game repair since encountering this? Since I ran one I have stopped having an issue with objects becoming stuck/uninteractable after placing them in the world, and switching between regular residential/rentals in various worlds.
Edit: I should add that the object I previously had become uninteractable is still stuck and I am unable to click on it, but I have been placing new objects from my sim's inventory and I have not managed to replicate the issue with them since.
