Threw party and got a gold medal for it, it didn't count toward the five I have to throw (although I did get credit for a silver medal).

This has been fixed in Patch 1.0.797.20
Is this in a new or existing game ? Are you using mods ?
I also still encountered this bug and I am using a sim that was created (born from pregnancy) after the last 11/25/2014 patches. For additional info the pregnancy also happened after the last november patches. I threw 4 parties, two of them has silver medals and the two other gold, and none of them count to the throw 5 party goal. I am not using any mod nor CC. Can EA please resolve this issue?
Could you try a completely new game for testing purposes ?
I just created a completely new GAME FILE. A couple days ago. Same exact glitch.
What kind of party were you throwing ?
