Hello, i'm hoping someone can help me. I've tried looking for an answer on here and in a google search, but haven't found any fixes or like issues.
The issue is occurring in build mode. When i'm in build mode, I create the house, add windows, add wallpaper/floor/etc. and start to furnish as normal.
After I add lights and then begin to add other household objects I begin running into an issue. For example, the window treatments I selected were blue, but they turned into a hunter green color, but only on one of the several windows. I thought this was caused from the lights, so I removed the ones causing the issue. It didn't work, the window treatments were still the green on the one window. The only way I was able to fix the issue was to delete a section of wall, and then put it back. Everything seemed normal after, so I added lights back and changed window treatments to a different color. This time, the beige color turned into light baby blue color, but only on certain windows. So I deleted a wall, and rebuilt it again which fixed the issue. Also, I should mention that when I hover over the object with my mouse, the object looks as it's expected to be, but as soon as I mouse off of it, it goes back to the weird color/possible glitch.
I'm not using any custom content in my builds.
Also, I'm pretty sure it's not related to my computer, but my specs are:
Windows 10 (64-bit)
AMD 8320 3.5 ghz processor
Nvidia GeForce gtx950 2gb
8 gb ram
Not sure exactly what would be causing this. Any idea or help is greatly appreciated (my apologies if this wasn't the appropriate place to post this to).
@iEquinox84 this is a bug introduced with the lighting change in the 6/2/16 patch. It's caused when the curtains "snap to" the windows. One workaround is to place your curtains on the wall first and then your windows. You can also place curtains lower on the wall and then use CTRL+9 to shift them up to the height you want. Basically, any way you can place them that won't snap them to the window will prevent the issue.

The more I place the counters next to or against the windows, the darker it gets (This is without any lights on the ceiling)

I will take a look at this in my game @SharkSimmer and see if I can duplicate it.

@SharkSimmer I haven't been able to duplicate what you're seeing so far. In my game, adding counters creates appropriate shadows based on the counters. How strong or subtle they are varies based upon time of day and the building's orientation (I tried it facing all 4 different positions and in the morning, afternoon, and evening). This is the type of image I was seeing:
To test further, I'd like to know the following:
- What are your graphics settings (under game options)?
- Which lot were your pictures taken on?
- What was the time of day (the more specific, the better)?
- Are those shots from the ground floor? Second floor? Or...?
