How often does the bug occur? All the time since I first opened the game this week (I tried countless times to complete the task).
What is your current game version number? 1.110.265.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? I have all packs and all of them are installed.
Steps:
How can we find the bug ourselves? I don’t know if anyone has encountered this but try to complete the “Wait for the Ambrosia Society Newsletter” task for week 4 if you haven’t completed it yet.
What happens when the bug occurs? My sim waits for the mail delivery, “reads” the newsletter but the related task does not get marked as completed. (Here’s the drive link for the successful completion of tasks and here’s the link for the video in which the “letter” task not being marked as completed.)
What do you expect to see? I expect the “Wait for the Ambrosia Society Newsletter” task from the week 4’s “Flirting with Death” quest to be completed after my sim reads the letter delivered in mail. And following that, I expect to be able to see and complete tasks of week 5.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? No. My game is completely mod/cc-free since Lovestruck was released. Also, I've recently deleted all contents of the game and re-downloaded the game before posting my issue here.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Nothing changed in my pc before I encountered this issue. However, I believe the big base game update (October 22, 2024) was released while I hadn’t opened the game. I don’t know if this issue is caused by the latest patch alone or it is a different issue, because during the first three weeks of the event, I completed the tasks on time, I was never late.
Online suggestions I tried (random order):
-Repairing the game.
-Starting a new save
-Deleting the game and re-downloading it.
-Deleting the "AccountDataDB" file.
-Deleting and re-downloading the EA App.
-(In game) Resetting my sim and the mailbox. I waited mail to arrive on time and even tried paying to accelerate its arrival (mail delivery thingy from the Home icon of my sim's phone)
-(in game) My sim has never left his home under no circumstances as I am playing a sort of "off-the-grid and in-the-home" challenge.
