[ARCHIVED] Reaper's Rewards: Quests Not Completing

Hey all, 

Spinning up this thread to track a potential issue we're investigating related to quests for the Reaper's Rewards event not completing when they should.

Please use this thread ONLY if:

  • You can see the Reaper's Rewards event on the main menu and in game (seen below).
  • You see quests available to complete.
  • The quests DO NOT complete when they should.

If the above applies to you, we would like to gather any video you can provide of you completing an objective and not seeing the event progress to proceed with our investigation. 

You can get us a video in many ways, please see the thread here for further information on them.

    Hey all,

    As the Reaper's Rewards event has now ended, this thread has been archived. 

    Thank you all so much for sharing the information needed to assist the team. Even though some issues weren't able to be resolved by the conclusion of the Reaper's Rewards event, we were able to use that data provided to improve the experience for future events. 

    As always, we continue to learn and explore how we can provide the best possible experience for all who play The Sims 4, and will use the information in this thread to make decisions on how we can best move forward for future events.

    My game is doing the exact same thing and I haven't been able to do any tasks since week 3.

    I've been stuck on week 2 for a long while now and ive been stuck on the same "Plant a cherry and a apple" still wont check off. ive also had this problem for week one but i uninstalled the better build buy mod and it worked. Now im having trouble can anyone help me?? 😢

    Platform:PC (Windows 11)
    Which language are you playing the game in? English
    How often does the bug occur? Everytime (100%)
    What is your current game version number? (i dont know how to check)
    What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? 
    Expansion packs: Seasons, Cats And Dogs,
    Game packs: None.
    Stuff packs: Backyard Stuff, Moschino Stuff, Romantic garden, My first pet stuff.
    Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Planting a apple or cherry
    What happens when the bug occurs? It doesnt check off plant a apple or cherry.
    What do you expect to see? Plant a apple Completed or Plant a cherry Completed
    Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes.
    Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

    I'm having the same issue. I've tried everything that's been suggested. I've tried re-starting my computer, re-starting the game, opening to an old save file, making a new game entirely, resetting the mail box, deleting the mail box and putting down a new one, moving lots, etc. Nothing had worked. I'm so frustrated too because I remember seeing a notification saying I completed the reward (a letter did come and my sim read it) but I was never able to claim the reward and now it's just stuck. There is no prompt for any new or old steps. I don't know what to do.

    Also having this issue. Stuck on week 2. Despite being friends with Grim, the quest wont finish. I can't progress at all. No other quests are checking off. 
    I am using mods, all of them are updated and i had the same mods when i completed the first weeks quests.
    As far as i can tell, there aren't multiple grim reapers. I have MCCC and checked through it if there were any other grims (there were not).
    I've tried everything. new saves, different sims, reloading, going to different lots, removing my mods (which didn't work).

    The grim rewards hasn't been working for me for a couple of weeks now. I completed one of the second week full tasks (not sure what they're called).

    Just wondering if anyone else has struggled with this?

    I got it!! - I repaired my game yesterday and then today i turned off cc and i went to go plant them and it checked them off even if they didnt germinate Im finally out of week 2! Time to turn cc back on and go play the reapers reward event 🥳

    I finally caught up on the reapers rewards i wonder what week 6 is gonna be 🤔
