@Player_bkc0g35p Did you max it out before you got the task ?

I played second week now and had no issues with this.

OK problem is resolved. I killed a random sim to see if there was another grim, nope looked like the same grim but after he collected soul from this poor random sim, did a friendly interaction with him then it checked off the reward. Task completed.
