[ARCHIVED] [ROM] Sages wont teach spells even though friends

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? Deutsch
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.55.105.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All Expansions, Game Packs all but Vampire, Stuff pack all but Toddler, Romantic garden, Luxory Party
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Just klick on the sage and ask to teach spell.
What happens when the bug occurs? Sages wont teach spells when asked for because of not knowing me enough. Even though realtionship is friends.
What do you expect to see? All three sages to teach me spells when I ask them. Just like the one does.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes

The sages wont teach my sims spells. In my family are two spellcasters. Its a new save I made after installing ROM. Both are friends with all three sages. One is even best friends with L. Still L and Morgyn wont teach me spells. They still tell me they dont know me enough to share their knowledge. The relationship bar is more then half full. The interaction works fine with the third sage, he teaches me spells every so often, even though my relationship with him is way lower. I dont know what else to do.
All three of them are willing to teach me potions just fine.

    What @rlc77  said.  If there's a third person in the conversation, Rando McRanderson will sometimes tell me they can't teach their spells to just anyone. Like, thanks Rando, I wasn't talking to you and also I have the option to train you so you're lower ranking than I am.

    This person isn't the mischief sage I clicked on to ask for spells. 

    Also, what @Theenaabeenaa said. I've noticed that if you learn all the spells for their specialization, the Sages have started (sometimes? always?) giving the wrong answer and saying they don't know you instead of saying you've learned them all and need to level up to learn more. I have a save where my Sim is Simeon's daughter and he lives in her house (I'm exploiting the roommate system to not "break" him, so he's never been played but lives with his family as a roommate NPC) and they have a 100% friendship bar and I got that "Let's get to know each other" message, which is vaguely hilarious.

    I don't remember having seen the wrong message for a potion. Also, if you practice magic by clicking your Sim, if they've learned all the spells for their level it'll give them the correct error message.

    Sorry to necro an old thread, but I was wondering if there was ever a solution for this as I have it happening now. I'm good friends with one of the sages. He'll teach me potion recipes, but won't teach me magic, stating we need to know each other better. I've done everything but have s&x with the dude.

    Update on this: The error stops as soon as you get a rank higher. I just let my sim train magic on his own and use some spells so he gets more magic and after reaching the next rank the sage taught me magic spells again.
