My married sims are also unable to sleep in the same bed. It took me two minutes to get it to work where I had to continuously tell both sims to get back into the bed. The first problem was that the male sim kept trying to get into the bed on her side even though there was more than enough space for him to get in on the opposite side. After I finally got him to move to his side he got in and out multiple times, then finally was able to stay in the bed but at that exact moment the wife got out. Leaving me to believe he was only able to stay in the bed because she got out. So then I had to proceed to deal with the issue of her getting in and out the same as him because now she didn't want to be in the bed because he was in it. She walked right past her side of the bed all the way to his side and tried to get in there, realized she couldn't, went back around to her side, got in, got out, got in... Only after 2mins of this did they both finally manage to get in the bed and actually stay there.... I did not move any furniture around during this so obviously nothing was ever actually in the way... Except each other.
She was on the Left side of the bed which is her assigned side and he was on the right side of the bed. It seems they can't read which side is assigned to them and so they attempt to go to the opposite side than what is theirs, gets confused when they can't because its already filled, and then eventually accepts that you want them to be on the side they don't want to be on. So it "works" eventually. After 2mins of chaos in my case.
