I've also been having this issue for weeks now and I only use MCCC to adjust the lifespan and nothing more. I removed that mod and reinstalled my game (I didn't bother repairing or anything like that because I wanted a completely fresh game.
I made a married couple, added them to a home in the base game and got their relationship bars up, and when it was time to go to bed, the second sim that entered the bed would instantly wake up.
There are no sound sources nor actions in the queue. I'm also using a base-game home in Willow Creek with the only exception of me using a better bed quality. Here is a very short clip of my nightly ritual.
Instructing the sim to sleep a second time always work so while not game breaking it's more a nuisance especially in a larger household with another couple. Again this is a fresh save with a different couple in a different home with no mods installed.
