Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a toddler sit to eat. The toddler only eats 1/2 of the food then stops even if still hungry. Have a toddler ask for bedtime story. This only works 1 out of 5 times. Click on a toddler bed, select sleep. The toddler will only sleep for a few minutes, then get up and age up.
What happens when the bug occurs? Toddlers take twice a long to complete a meal having to restart after toddler puts plate down. Toddler will not finish meal in high chair either. Toddlers just sit in toddler bed and will not go to sleep. Toddler gets up and/or ages up.
What do you expect to see? I expect to have the toddler finish a meal, be able to be read to sleep, stay sleeping and NOT age up (on day one of toddlerhood). I try to get all skills up to 3 or 5 on all my toddlers. This will not be possible if they spend all their time trying to finish a meal or a sleep. Letting them age up without high skills hinders skills building in childhood.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. I installed the July 22nd Sims4 update/patch. This never happened to any of my toddlers before that update. I am on generation 14 of my current legacy challenge in Willow Creek and had another household for at least 14 or 15 generations also in Willow Creek. Never had problems with toddlers.
These glitches started happening in my game after the latest update/patch on 7/22/19.
I have searched on the forum and have seen where these issues have been reported and marked "fixed" for PC players. I know this not to be accurate as I do watch streamers who play on PC and I see that they are still having this problem. I have seen where I can use "cheats" to automatically level my toddler skills, but will have to give up achievements to do that. I looked at the 7/22/19 patch notes for consoles and this issue isn't even in there. I can't find anywhere that states that this problem is being looked in to or being addressed in upcoming updates/patches. The "fixed" notation for PCs states that the latest update/patch for them fixed it.
Since I keep at least one of my toddlers from each generation to play through their life, I always maximize all skills to get the perks as they age up. These sudden glitches make this all but impossible, not to mention incredibly frustrating to play. I am constantly trying to get them to eat and/or sleep with no time left to learn skills. They can't even learn the creativity skill by being read to sleep because that doesn't work anymore. I really enjoyed playing up till now and was working my way through buying all the expansions and "packs'. However, having glitched toddlers will make this game unplayable for me. Not to mention anybody trying to do the 100 baby challenge!
All I would really like to know is that this issue is actively being looked at for all platforms and when the community will have an answer.
@KenikeHI808 Since the situation has change on console and console is now caught up on this fix with PC, I merged your thread with the still open PC issue on it.
I have read through this entire thread that this has been combined in to. It has been here for two weeks and there has been no mention by anyone associated with EA or the game that this is being addressed or that there is a fix/patch/update in the works to help the community. That is disappointing! Is there anywhere else we take take these issues to to actually get some sort of answer? Is there an actual customer service or tech help? Does anybody know? I haven't been able to find anything.

I understand all the changes/merges in the thread must be confusing - sorry about that! Things usually evolve with patches or while we work on the issues. We try to keep track of your reports for console and PC/Mac separately because the game versions in the different platforms are different.
This was true when @SimGuruKuxiku posted asking you to keep threads separate i.e. the situation was different on PC/Mac and on console. Since then a patch was released for console and now the issue you are all experiencing is the same, regardless of the platform. It helps us to better track information when it's in one space and that's why the threads were merged together. Again, apologies for the confusion there! ☹️
Did you see this post? SimGuruKuxiku is part of The Sims team and she is asking for save games from PC players here as they can easily share save games with us. Having save games would help the team with their investigation and because we have posted asking for this it means your reports have been seen and are absolutely being looked into.
We keep an eye on everything that's being reported in here and we ask for more information if needed. 🙂 However, please, keep in mind we don't make any promises on when fixes will arrive because things don't always go as we expect. We'll write patch notes to let you know what we have fixed with game updates though!

Thank you for your response! It's really nice to get something. I am still confused through, it sounds like you think that I reported a PC issue. I am the one that reported an Xbox One issue. At which time my report got combined with this thread which included PC issues. It's fine, either way. It doesn't matter except for that I don't have a game save to send & I do not have One Drive to send a cllip from Xbox One. Sorry.
From my Xbox one issue and Twitch PC streamers that I have seen with the same issues with toddlers, it looks at though it is just still an issue everywhere. Just knowing that you are aware of it and it is being looked at to fix it, is information...which is all I was asking for. So, thank you SO much for that, I do appreciate it. And hopefully when there is a fix coming out for any/all platforms, we will be informed as well. Something to look forward to!!
