[ARCHIVED] Unjustified disallowed words

Thanks for the report. There are some really weird banned words.

I'm really sad that I can't use (rac)**bleep** as a family name. I think this is really exaggerative! I had to look in the dictionary to find out why EA doesn't want raccoons in the game ....

It's titania and ''Gun''ther and ''Porn''rawin [my sister name] i can't upload them to gallary... seriously....

Yea, so at 1 AM central time waiting 1 hour for EA to talk to be about this is just crazy. SO EA tell me this: Why isnt my last name allowed? 

Of course like any normal person on the SIMS 4 I tried to make a character and hey I want to make someone who IS me. So I give her my name. My last name is Cox. I see whats so funny, but after hearing everything about it in middle and high school it gets boring. Doesnt the SIMS 4 system have a way of recognizing swear words and other such phrases from real life words? You mean to tell me Vladimir Mukhranskii or Abdul-Ghafaar Fakhour (some difficult names for example there) can make a character no problem but I cant without getting an error message. I can attach a screenshot if it helps! 

The warning comes up and tells me that my last name is a prohibited word and if I choose to continue well, my character and anything associated with her will not be shown in the gallery. Basically shes offline play only. What the hell EA! Ok, so its something small to complain about but I dont like it at all. 

My last name is English and it means "from the hills". Nothing more! Nothing profane about that! 

So what do I have to do? Just abbreviate it to C. Yes, thats right. I cant even use my own last name which is weird because that never happened in any of the other SIMS games and I have played them ALL. 

I LOVE this game. No complaints, I play the stock families and groups. I make my own, I am their god and I rule them with a loving yet iron fist. Why this?!

I didnt mind when the pools where taken. Didnt even blink when you couldnt make toddlers anymore, but this? No. no. 

Do something for me EA. Im quite sure there are plenty of other people with interesting sounding (and plainly spelled) last names that would like to make their character truly them.

I would have thought Cox was a reasonably common English surename. Strange they have chosen to block it.

The german word "ganz" (whole, complete, totally) is forbidden. I had to look up the english meaning in an obscure urban dictionary and though I agree that it is quite inappropriate an action, I´m loath to be forbidden to use an innocent word just because it means something questionable in another language. How many english speakers know that word anyway? Since the launch of the game the gallery filter has taught me 4 new english swear words and their correct usuage. This isn´t protecting children from cursing, this is TEACHING them the words ("Mommy, why is dis a bad word?").

I created a family with the surname "Hale" and got the message informing me I could not share the family to the gallery. Not sure why Hale would not be allowed.

I was making a recreation of the Specter Family from the Sims 2, and I couldn't upload because Ophelia's last name was Nigmos, which is disallowed, I can't use a last name that was in a pervious generation of the Sims?!
