Just to be sure, what is the venue type? Residential Rental or something else?
And is the door to the apartment the one on the back shown in the 2nd pic? Or is that the back door to the store below and you get into the apartment from inside the store?
One thing I see is that the apartment does have 2 doors leading to the outside on the upper porch, so the apartment has to have at least 3 doors unless that space is assigned to the apartment. I'm assuming the porch is not assigned to the apartment though and you left it as shared. Since the porch is fully enclosed with no other way out, then the game looks elsewhere for a front door.
If the apartment entry door is the back door of the building, then the front door designation should hold if the space inside it leads from is assigned to the apartment. If the apartment front door is inside the building, like off a foyer, it won't hold. So, the game picks a door that does lead directly to the outside. Why it picks the greenhouse door over the others that I see, I have no idea. It could just as easily have picked one of the others.
For a front door designation to hold for an apartment front door, it must lead directly from a space assigned to the apartment to the outside if the apartment has more than one door out. Otherwise, the game will always assign the front door as a door leading out of the building.by default.
If you would like, I will take a look at the build for you. All you need to do is upload the lot to the Gallery and reply here with the name of the lot and your user id if different than you use here (grpruett).

The venue type is simply Residential (House). However, i do have the Live in Business Mod by LittleMsSam's Sims 4 Mods. Live in Store can be marked through the lot challenges. So the house is also a store. Also the letters were from Alphabet Wall Decal by Bakie. The house is actually on the Gallery. Under Curious Goods by grpruett.
I downloaded and tested the lot in a vanilla test save. When I entered the lot in live mode the first time, the door to the business was set as the front door. Then I traveled and then traveled back a few times. The same door was still set as the front door on return to the lot. It didn't change to the greenhouse door so, without any mods, etc., it works as it should. So, you've got something else causing the front door setting to keep switching. I suspect a mod of some sort or possibly something like a CC door if you have any. Other than the mod and CC you mentioned, I have no idea what else you have in your mods folder, and it could be anything including an interaction between two mods so I can't help you much further. You'll need to do some testing of your own to determine exactly what file is causing the issue for you. All I can tell you is that it isn't the game itself.

Thanks for you help. And I do have 2 door mods that I can recall without looking. I believe that all i have. One to let me know when a npc sim comes to the door for a visit (which is most likely the culprit), and one to adjust which sims are allowed through certain doors. Also the front door resetting to my greenhouse could take up to 6 sim days to reset. It seems that each time i forget to keep track of where the front door is at is when a sim comes to the greenhouse door to get in for a visit.
