I downloaded the lot and tested this morning. When I installed the lot and moved a sim in, the kitchen door was set as the front door. So, I changed it to the shipping container door in the front. Then I traveled and returned. The setting held. I started traveling back and forth to the lot and other zones in EH, then several other worlds. The setting held every time. I also traveled to different venue types - gyms, bars, museum, library, etc. and visited other residential lots. Every time I returned to your lot, the setting for the front door stayed as I set it. So, it held for me, and I have no idea why it changes on you. I could find nothing wrong when I tested.
On the hot water solar panels, I see what you mean. They say there is no water utility. I haven't tried using them in my game yet, so they were new to me, so I wasn't sure how they are supposed to work. Pretty simple though. I moved them around to other positions and to the ground, but nothing changed. I went to another lot and placed one on the ground and it was operational. Then I went back to your lot and looked at them again. I copied one and it still said no water utility. I did find that there is a nonfunctional solar water heater under roof sculptures that looks the same and thought that's what you had placed but they don't give any message when you mouse over them. Then I grabbed one out of the catalog from Activities and Skills>Outdoor Activities and that one worked but the two that were still there didn't. So, I just deleted those 2 and replaced them with new ones and they worked. I have no idea what went wrong with the ones you placed. I used the same item from the catalog, and it worked. It had to be a new item, not a copy. Copying the ones that gave the no water utility message didn't fix it. So, you can try deleting the two that are there and replacing them with new ones from the catalog. That should work.
Hope this helps.
