Anyone know what happened? I had twin girls who aged up from babies to children. I picked their traits/asperations. Then the dad aged up at the same time. Then it made my twin girls age up to teens. Now they are older than their big sister. It's very frustrating that now my whole family isn't aged properly.

Did you blow out cakes twice maybe by accident ? Maybe the game got confused.
Best thing is to load a backup: http://sims4.crinrict.com/en/2014/09/save-games/#wiederherstellen or not save
No candles involved. I never have parties for my sims lol they just age up automatically
Have you tried rolling back ? Sounds like a glitch
So I got a previous save and played from there. I saved often because I didn't want to lose so much progress this time. Well I decided to have a party and age up the dad first incase that was part of the issue. This time he aged up about 24 hrs before the babies. The mom (me) was at work at the police station. When I got off work I had a promotion but then it said I neglected 1 of the twins and it was removed from the household. Then the other twin that was left aged from a baby to a teenager.... Ugh! so frustrating. Is there something in game that makes them skip childhood?
