    @BryonyRae

    Apparently it is by design that pets cannot cross the Smooth Keeper, due to severe clipping issues in certain situations with both large and small pets.

@SimQARobo How about the new Hazard Tape fence?  Neither pets nor sims can cross it...  Judging by the description, it seems like they should be able to: "Only those with an iron will have the mental fortitude to cross this mental fence line without ill effect, or at least a little apprehension."

    @BryonyRae 

    There is a Hazard Tape Gate for the purposes of crossing the Hazard Tape.  The purpose of the Hazard Tape is to prevent Sims from crossing certain areas if you don't want them to.
