    It's unfortunately by design that great grandchildren can have romantic interactions with their great grandparent, our incest checks just don't go back that far. I'd call this more of a feature request, not a bug, pretty sure it's always been this way.

EXPANSION: Island Living, Get Famous, Seasons, Cats & Dogs, City Living, Get Together, Get to Work, Island Living, Discover University Game: Strangerville, Jungle Adventure, Parenthood, Vampires, Dine Out, Spa Day, Outdoor Retreat, Realm of Magic STUFF: Moschino, Bowling Night, Vintage Glamour, Kids Room, Romantic Garden, Movie Hangout, Spooky, Cool Kitchen, Perfect Patio, Luxury Party FREE: Holiday Celebration, Ghoulish Guitar
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have your sim go to university and then move back home when the semester is over. Click on a family member to see romance options.
What happens when the bug occurs? Romance options are available with family members in and outside of household.
What do you expect to see? I expect for sims to not have any romance options available with sims in their family tree.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Discover University

I know some people experiment in college, but this is just too much, EA. 😂

    @Rae_Regenbogen Are they still family members ? How closely related ? Do they have family member status in CAS as well as on the info tab ?

      Her family tree shows a relationship between each family member (She only interacted with two ancestors and a brother before I reported the bug), so I went into CAS to look at family relationships. I didn’t find a section to view those. However, while in CAS, I linked and then unlinked the sim’s mermaid form (I hadn’t done that in my past attempts to figure out what was wrong) and re-edited her mermaid form. Then, I saved the household to my library and restarted the game. I invited everyone over to view the socials, and she no longer has a romance option with her close family members. However, there is still a romance option with direct ancestors on her family tree.
      Side note: this also made her tail appear for the first time in her life. Yay! 🧜‍♀️ 👽

        @Rae_Regenbogen How far away ancestors ? The game only retains relationships up to level 4 or 5 (not sure)

        When you hover over her with the other Sim in the relationship bar, what info can you see there ?
