My Sim was level 10 at one point in the Scientist career, as soon as she quits her job the lab table stops working.
This is a picture of what I get, it roughly translates to "only scientist can find out how the lab works".
I think they have to be active with their Scientist career for that to work. If I remember correctly there is a little box that pop ups when you hover over the chemistry lab, stating this.
I figured as much....i just think it's odd...
Might be counted as a bug. Not sure cause I also think that if you can buy one, you should be able to use it even if you're not in the career.
Moved to the bug forum for now. I have a chemistry lab in my current game. I'll see if I can find that pop-up @Phantomlover1717 is talking about.
You unlock the chemistry lab by being in the scientist career.....at some level.....i forget which one. Either way it's just odd....
