Hello!
We tried with the save you shared and we are able to drag the cake to the inventory, put it in inventory, and also can keep it in the household inventory.
Would you be willing to share the video of what you are seeing in the save you shared above?

Hey! Ok so I reset the game after I posted that & it fixed it. The cake was disappearing to the household inventory when I was trying to drag it to different surfaces, like from the counter to the table. When I would hold the cake to drag it from surface to surface, the cake would show as an empty plate, except when I found a spot to put it on the floor. When I would release the hold with the cake, centered or otherwise, on the surface, the cake went to the inventory. However, on the floor, when I found a spot I could sit the cake, I knew it because the cake would show as on the plate. Unfortunately, I didn't think to record it. But all is well again... for now haha. Thanks for taking a look though. I appreciate it 🙂
