Can’t paint, edit or add walls in gig

So I had a level renovation gig and you’re suppose to be able to add walls and edit room sizes etc. but I can’t add wallpaper, stairs, walls or edit existing ones. Oddly enough, I was able to add wallpaper to an existing stair case that was on ground level but not to any walls. I searched online and saw other people had this issue and someone said they think it’s because the houses’ foundation is raised. If it’s raised by even one, it won’t let you do anything and you get the pop up that says you are restricted to ground level. It’s like it doesn’t recognize it as the ground level because of the raised foundation and you can’t even heighten or lower the foundation to fix it. I had to save, then go into the lot itself outside of the gig to do these things and then go back to playing the gig
