At first, the option to interrogate the suspect was greyed out and the game was telling me that there were no arrested suspects to interrogate (even though there was one). I'm not sure what changed, but now the option is not greyed out but when you click on it and select the suspect that you want to interrogate, absolutely nothing happens. Your sim will not do the action.
This is a problem, since the promotion task for level 3 of the detective career is to interrogate a suspect - but you can't currently do this, so if you have a sim on level 3 they cannot get promoted to level 4. Also, in later stages of the career (level 4 or more), the promotion requirement is to have solved a certain number of cases. But, in order to solve a case, you have to successfully interrogate a suspect and thereby establish their guilt. You cannot currently interrogate suspects, so you cannot do this.
@thisisarealpainx Did you change the color of the interrogation table at any point ?
@crinrict thank you for your reply. I did not change the colour of the table before experiencing this problem. After the problem started, I looked online and saw that changing the colour of the table is listed as a possible solution. So, I gave that a go but it did not fix the issue.
