Cannot Interrogate Suspect in Police Career

I am currently having a problem having my Sim play a detective as a career.  My sim can no longer interrogate suspects and her cases end up stuck as unsolved.  I've clicked on the table and selected 'Interrogate suspect' in the menu and then selected the picture of the suspect like you are supposed to, but nothing happens.  I've even tried clicking on the suspect and it comes up with other police related choices but not interrogate suspect like it has before. 

Is anyone else having this problem?  Does anyone know a fix I can do?

    try using the cheat codes for unlocking the hidden menus when at the police station (if you for example replaced the original build it can also happen):

    ! ctrl + shift + c to open cheat console and type in following codes (for pc, not sure about console) !

    1. testingcheats on, hit enter

    2. bb.enablefreebuild, hit enter

    3. *open build buy menu* and type bb.showhiddenobjects in the cheat console, hit enter

    4. bb.showliveeditobjects, hit enter

    5. In the build buy menu now filter only the get to work pack, scroll and look for the now unlocked hidden objects -- you should find the interrogation table too (it comes in multiple colors)

    6. place down all the colors if you want to test them all, but from my experience, only the first color is working properly

    Had the exact same issue as op, (although i do have mods and i placed a new station from the gallery) this worked! ty!
