Please use this thread going forward: Can't have more that one part time job (same time, different days) | EA Forums - 12378997
So I've noticed this "problem" when i tried to assign my uni student sim for part time job. Since adult sims can have two part time jobs, i wanted her to work as Barista on weekdays & Manual Laborer on the weekend but when i applied for second job the game won't allow me...I thought that was weird cuz both schedules aren't conflicting at all, then i tried to experiment mixing all the part time jobs & i found that the morning shift weekdays-only jobs conflicted with morning shift weekend-only jobs, same with the night shift counterparts too. Other than that it's fine..
These are the jobs that conflicted with each other:
- Barista (Mon - Fri / 5 AM - 7 AM) with Manual Laborer (Sat - Sun / 7 AM - 12 PM)
- Barista (Mon - Fri / 5 AM - 7 AM) with morning shift Babysitter (Sat-Sun / 7 AM - 1 PM)
- Morning shift Fisherman (Mon - Fri / 5AM - 9 AM) with Manual Laborer (Sat - Sun / 7 AM - 12 PM)
- Morning shift Fisherman (Mon - Fri / 5AM - 9 AM) with morning shift Babysitter (Sat-Sun / 7 AM - 1 PM)
- Night Shift Fisherman (Mon - Fri / 9 Pm - 1 AM) with night shift Babysitter (Sat - Sun / 6 PM - 12 AM)
I've tried playing without mods and still have the same results. I'm curious is this a bug or it's always been like this? Like...the game didn't allowed sims to work everyday or what? Feel kinda sad cuz it's ruined my plan. Oh another thing, the Barista job performance didn't progress AT ALL! It's been a week and my sim is still stuck on level 1 with average job performance, never happened before...it's really annoying!
@navi810 I have the same problem with two of my teen sims. One is enrolled in scouts (Sat/Sun) and I wanted to have her bartend during the rest of the week, but I get the message asking me to quit scouts. The other is in the drama club during the week and I wanted to have her babysit on the weekend, but again I get the prompt asking me to drop the first activity.
I wanted to ask, does this conflict with the scholarship assignment by any chance?
