I have this exact same bug currently
Are you using custom content or mods in your game ?

No, I removed all mod content prior to posting here. However I just tried deleting my resource config file in the Mods folder, and that worked. Everything seems to be working now, with all custom content reinstalled as well. It worked both with and without mods after I deleted the resource file.

Intersting. Did you ever change something about your resource.cfg ?

No, I didn't - not the first time I've deleted the config file and started fresh, since the game generates one if there's not one present. It wasn't even intentional - I accidentally deleted it when moving custom content around. I am not sure how much control script mods have, but my only guess is that perhaps one of the scripted mods impacted the config file, and when I deleted it and re-generated it w/o any custom content in the mods folder, it may have resolved the issue? But that's just a guess. I am no expert so I could be wrong about some of these conclusions haha
But weirdly enough, I think I may have just "moved" the bug....now it appears I can't "Change Appearance" via the mirror anymore. Whenever I try to select that option from a mirror, it behaves in the same way it did with the phone - cancels the action, the sim just stands there, and sometimes results in weird stuff happening like resetting sim. For example my sim was sleeping, and I clicked on the mirror to change appearance, and it reset my sim to just be standing in the bedroom (not even the room the mirror was in). The sim didn't do the usual get out of bed/wake up procedures - just all of sudden was standing in the room. I replicated this a few times too.
I'm going to try the usual - I'll update again when I have it figured out.
Edit - also it seems to affect ALL games - doesn't seem limited to 1 sim or neighborhood or house. If it's happening, it's happening for every single game I load. If it's not, it's not! 🙂
