Can't make potion with all the ingredients in inventory

Hi @ScreenName000001 , which potion and which ingredients?

By "sometimes," do you mean that it happens only with certain potion recipes, or that it can happen sometimes with any recipe but it works most of the time?

Hi @mightyspritesims It happens all of the time now. I'm trying to make the Potion of the Transcendent Charmer. I have 1 Kissing Gourami, 1 Rose and 1 Ruby in my inventory and the potion is available to be done. I know so because it's not grayed out like the other potions that I don't have the ingredients for. When I select the potion to be made from the cauldron and my inventory is open, it's as if they are taken out and placed back in my inventory. They have moved in the inventory and they appear at the bottom of the inventory. Like when you find a new object while your inventory is open, they appear at the bottom. I can do a potion of plentiful needs with no problem at all.

Sometimes, the potions in the selection panel don't grey out like they should when you don't have all the ingredients.  So, try adding more of each ingredient to your sim's inventory and try again. When I am making potions, I try to gather as much of each ingredient as I can get my hands on beforehand, like I will buy 10 of everything I can at the stalls at Magic HQ.  Sometimes it takes a few days to get everything but when I go to make potions, I am almost always able to make the potions that my sim is capable of.

Hmmmm.  Not sure what's going on then.  It's always been a missing ingredient when it happened to me.  Here's a couple of things you can try. 

Travel out and return and try again.  

If you are using a cauldron at Magic HQ or a community venue, an NPC might have grabbed the cauldron before you selected it or while you were selecting the potion which will block your sim from using it.  So, try resetting it.

If on the home lot, go to build mode, move the cauldron, let it place and then move it back to the original spot.  

Work on your sim's magic level for a bit to get them to fill the bar and level up.

Thank you @CGrant56 . I've left the game, fixed it, make sure I've updated to the latest version. Came back. Moved the cauldron, made sure I had all the ingredients at home or at the HQ. It's really weird. 

This is my issue exactly and its specific to the transcendent charmer potion. I can seem to make the rest. I have all the ingredients but when I click on make potion, the menu disappears but nothing happens. No action cues up. I've tried in cauldrons in other locations as well and it's still seems to just be the transcendent charmer potion that it wont make.
