@mllespider Same problem. How is the backpack supposed to work, like the other existing storage chests? Because so far I can't store things in it. I hope it's not the shared inventory type of storage, those items are useless. You can't sort anything if every chest has the same inventory.
First, delete the localthumbcache file and then do a game repair and the backpack on your old saves will work : )
Each Backpack works individualy. If you put a book in one it won't appear in the other one.

Here what can be put in a Backsack (what I found for now)
- Any readable book (even those a sim wrote)
- Journal
- The new Lunch Box
- Camera
- Tablet/Laptop
- Yoga Mat
- Little Toy Figurine/Clay/Future Cube/Bubble Bottle
- The Friendship Bracelet Kit
- Pet Toy
- Pet Bowl
I'm sure there's more and we will find them lol
