Can't put objects into storage items (fridge/nectar storage/etc)

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.108.335.1020 DX9
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Horse Ranch, Cottage Living, Snowy Escape, Island Living, Get Famous, Seasons, Cats and Dogs, City Living, Get Together, Get to Work, Parenthood, Dine Out, Spa Day, Crystal Creations, Nifty Knitting, My First Pet, Laundry Day, Toddler, Bowling Night, Vintage Glamour, Backyard, Romantic Garden, Movie Hangout, Spooky, Sims 4 Christmas (Free)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play game for awhile and try storying items in Sims Inventory into storage areas like refrigerators, Nectar bins and such.
What happens when the bug occurs? When my Sim goes to put items in the refrigerator, Nectar bins, fish tanks and other places of storage they can't do it. In order to fix it I have to buy a new fridge, Nectar bin, fish tank and items like that and then it works. My sim collects fruit and plantables and tries to put them in the fridge and it won't accept it. This happens to me about twice every sim week. Then my Sim has to upgrade all appliances again. It's so frustrating. When it comes to the fish in the tank I have to open the tank remove the fish and put them into my sim's inventory, buy a new tank and then put the fish in that one. It started doing it quite some time ago but now it's more frequent.
What do you expect to see? I expect to see it fixed so my game works. It's frustrating to have to buy new things and update those that need updating.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

Is anyone else experiencing this?

It's not just happening with the fridge though. It's also the fish tank and the Nectar shelves and anything that holds storage

  • I just ran into not being able to put away items in the fridge with just one family and discovered it was because two of their grocery deliveries that I thought hadn't happened actually did, but the delivery bags had been left on the sidewalk on the left side of their house toward the back of it.

It's a hectic household with 5 Sims (two of them toddlers), so I just somehow missed these bags till I was just so frustrated that nothing I did would make them able to put away leftovers, etc. Once these two delivery bags had been picked up and unloaded, everything went back to normal.

I'm glad I was able to get the bags okay, because I initially panicked seeing them completely off the lot. They've had several deliveries, so I'm really not sure what happened that caused these two to bug out like they did.

So anyone with the fridge storage issue specifically, I'd advise to do a complete sweep of the lot and surrounding area for lost grocery deliveries.
