[CD] Can't place High-End Robot Vacuum (must be inside)

In the first pic, the oven is blocking the placement of the robovac.  The oven uses two tiles and must have a full tile in front of it for the animations to run.  Many objects are like that, so you need to find a spot that is not already taken by another objects footprint.

But the message you got is wrong for that.  Since it says it must be in a room, then have you checked to see if the walls are all connected?  Just click on the floor and see if the entire space is one space.  You should also check to see if you have a ceiling as well.  Just click on the floor and go up a level.  If you don't see a yellow line around the outline of the entire room below that follows the wall, then you may have an open ceiling.  You can close it by clicking on the yellow line and select "Build Ceiling".

i should have picked a better spot, its really anywhere in that room i didnt notice the oven but it happens even in the open areas of that room. As for the room being closed off, i mentioned before that the room is closed off with doors and has a roof. i was able to see when clicking the bottom that it shows the whole room is connected. i am also able to see a ceiling is already in place. i even moved the vacuum away in a new picture to show i get the same error.

Ok.  Thanks for letting me know that the room looks to be ok and it has a ceiling.  

I do see something in the first pic though that might account for that specific error message and the inability to place the vac.  I can the level below through the stairwell and I see the ground unless you've used the grass looking floor tiles there.  Is it just no floor on that level or is the lower level open to the outside?  If it is, then you might want to fully enclose the lower level or at least make an enclosed stairwell.  If the lower level is enclosed already, you could try adding a floor to see if the issue goes away.  I'm not sure if either will work but it's probably worth a try.

If that doesn't work, there is another thing you can try.  You only need one robobvac on each floor.  It will go to all the rooms and clean them on it's own when in auto mode.  So it doesn't need to be in that particular room. It can be in any room on the floor.  The thing I wonder since you are getting the placement error message that you are getting, is if it will clean that room or traverse that room on it's way to another room on the floor.  If it will, then at least it will keep the entire floor clean which is the whole point of the thing in the first place.  Not a fix to the placement issue in that room I know, but it would keep the place clean.

And if none of that works, would you be willing to load the lot into the Gallery so I or one of the other helpers can test the lot to see if we can find the problem?

so it actually happens any any lot. i've seen the same errors in some other lots ive been to.

the floor below is just using the grass tiles its not the actual ground floor.i have that building raised up a bit but the first floor of that just uses the grass tiles and has stairs up and down stairs. the small rooms around the room i have the vacuum in let me place it regardless of if its on the second or third floor so its really confusing. also all the doors are closed doors not arches as that was a thought of mine as well. i have uploaded that floor and the bottom floor if you wanted to see them.

yeah i had to re-download my whole entire game and the packs when i got a new SSD i had the issue when before and after.

What is the name of the lot in the Gallery?  I looked at all your lots and none of them looks like the one in your pictures on the first post.  I also looked to see if you had loaded it as rooms but there aren't any.

they have easy names i put them in my catalog under room 1, 2, etc. they are labeled as kitchen because i was just trying to upload it fast. i tried to put the 3 rooms in my showcase but it seems it did not work for all but the room i posted originally. hopefully its viewable now.
