Child head size slider always maxes out

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? In CAS, when using the head size slider (zoomed out, not in detail mode) from the front or side profile on a child sim.
What happens when the bug occurs? The child sim's head will "pop" up to the maximum head size and cannot be made smaller again. Clicking the "undo" button or using the undo keyboard command will not undo the head size change, either.
What do you expect to see? I expect to be able to adjust the size of a child sim's head when using the head size slider.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure
I noticed this on a Mac laptop with a fresh game installation and only base game installed, but was able to reproduce it on PC with no mods and every game pack installed as well. I'm returning to the sims after a year long break, so I can't say if this is related to a recent patch or not. The bug only appears when altering child sims, all other ages are unaffected.
