Child Sims Cannot interact with any other sims/no pie menu comes up

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.105.345.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All current
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Create a family of at least one adult and one child sim. Play as teh child sim and try to have the child sim interact with the other adult and or any other sim in the environment. You will not be able to perform any interactions as the child sim. The adult sim if they try to click on the child will be able to interact, but not if you are acting as the child sim.
What happens when the bug occurs? nothing - when playing as the child sim and trying to interact with another sim no action occurs and no pie menu comes up
What do you expect to see? I expect to see a pie menu with a list of social interactions.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

    Hi @JuliaDoesThings 

    Try the following

    • Close the game
    • Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
    • Repair the game
    • Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry
    • Start a new save game
    • Check if you still have the error
    • Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.

    Hey Crin, 

    thanks for the response and the idea. Unfortunately no luck with it. I even removed all of my saves so it was like a brand new sims game and still my child sims cannot interact with other sims.

    Created a whole new family and save. I’ve even tried it with townies. No child can interact.

    @JuliaDoesThings Do you have any LastException files in your documents folder ?

    Best is to delete the ones you have, then trigger the error and check if new ones are created.

    If that is the case, please upload

    Please either create a .rar file to upload or c/p the content into your post.

    Deleting the file won't fix your issue. Uploading the file is meant for troubleshooting.

    I'm experiencing this, but in a weird way. I haven't tested a new save yet, but from what I've experienced so far, I've noticed some things:

    There is no LE file for the onset of the bug in my save. It started after I held a stayover for 3 days, invited a club gathering over, and put the household to sleep with both still in progress. This usually bugs up the timer for me, so when it did. I just ploughed through it in the way I've learned how (which is to wake up a sim, let the clock pass time, then wake the next up and put the first to bed,etc...) Usually that gets us through the night and we move on. But this time it didn't and I had to wake all household sims up. That's when my twin toddlers couldn't communicate with specifically the club members who were present.

    I ended the sleepover, and the gathering and reinvited the gathering back. One toddler could show toys to or hit the adult club members, but the other toddler couldn't even get an outline on them. The same toddler that could show toys could call known club members to bathe her, but the one who couldn't talk couldn't call known club members to bathe.

    I then had Malcolm quit the club. And as the members were leaving, the toddler who couldn't get an outline was now able to show toys, or hit the club members. And the other toddler who could already show/hit was still only able to show/hit. But both were able to call for baths.

    I don't know what this info will tell you about this, but I strongly feel this is related to "Get Together," "Growing Together," or both?
