Child sims wearing the same outfit every day for school

How often does the bug occur? Every time a child Sim goes to school.
What is your current game version number? 
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All EPs except Eco Lifestyle. GPs: Dream Home Decorator, Realm of Magic, Spa Day, Jungle Adv., Parenthood, Outdoor Retreat. All SPs except My First Pet, Backyard, Spooky, Cool Kitchen, and Perfect Patio.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try making multiple 'everyday' outfits for a child Sim and then have them shower in the morning so that they change to a random everyday outfit before school.
What happens when the bug occurs? The child Sim changes from one of their everyday outfits that they're already wearing to the everyday outfit in slot #1 when it's time for school.
What do you expect to see? I expect the Sim to just go to school in the everyday outfit that they're already wearing, instead of always changing into the same one.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? No.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? I'm not sure when it started happening.

I saw a similar problem posted on another thread, but it was closed. The last post said that it was by design since the Sims were changing from cold/hot weather to every day outfits, but that’s not what’s happening in my save. My Sims will shower and change into one of their 5 everyday outfits, and then change again into the everyday outfit #1 an hour later when it’s time for school.

I have Seasons but the temperature is ‘warm’ in the morning and their thermostat is on, so they don’t usually wear hot or cold outfits in the house. Has anyone else experienced this?
