[CL] San Myshuno lighting on apartment exteriors have weirdly dim floors

I'm surprised this isn't being talked about more, unless there's a thread somewhere else.

This ruins the look of the apartment buildings in San Myshuno. But I feel like it's been this way for longer than a month, and it makes me worry that it will never be fixed.

Yeah, as far as I can tell this has been an issue for quite a few months now, maybe even a year or so. I have no idea what update broke the lighting on the Apartment shells. I'm also worried that this will never get fixed, but at least now there's an official report.

It's been since the Pre HSY patch. They broke the apartments coding and never fix it. This is the least of the problems since that patch. The apartments are a total mess in cutaway view. To make the problem worse they centered For Rent around the broken coding. Find on here Broken apartment walls in cutaway view. Someone posted a imagine what the apartments use to look like in cutaway view to how they are after that patch. For Rent also has the same issue. Also door don't go down like they should. There  is a post on here about that. There is also a post about if you bulldoze a penthouse or dorm the shell of the build is gone and the lot floats in the air after the pre For Rent patch. I haven't updated and I'm not going to. I waited a whole to update that pre HSY patch only because I didn't have a choice I had to repair my game, now I have broken apartments in CL and ECO and Penthouse doors don't go down. They got a real mess going on and they need to hire someone to fix it because the people they employ now are the ones that broke it and definitely don't know how to fix it they just make more pack centering it. SMDH.

This is a very old bug tho.

I believe this bug came with the Season's pre patch which gave us some updates on the light dynamics.

the mod fixes it by turning off the bbb lights in the "Renderer.GlobalLightSettings" file but that's obviously not a solution as this makes objects indoors go black
so the issue might be that LargeObject shaders have those bbb lights applied on top of the outdoor lighting, which would explain why turning those off fixes the issue, the mod just has more settings applied that alleviate the interior shading issues caused by those lights being removed

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Just look at the apartment buildings in The Sims 4 City Living.
What happens when the bug occurs? The exterior wall of the floor where there are apartments for rent is darker than the rest of the building's color.
What do you expect to see? The external color of the apartment floor wall must be the same as the rest of the building.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

The problem is quite simple. The color of the external walls of the City Living apartment buildings, more specifically on the floor where there are apartments, are darker than the walls of the rest of the building.

I know that in reality the floor where there are apartments is the real part of the construction, and the remaining part of the building is just an object, however, this problem did not happen in the past!

This is one of those detail issues that bothers players. Please, fix this!
