I have a similar problem. I've got my sim to have a full blown romantic relationship with someone from Cupids corner, they're now girlfriends/partners and I went on the other womans profile and she has only romance attraction to men and sexual attraction to men and no romantic exploration but yet is happy to woohoo etc with my female sim.
Wow, I just had a romance bar with the other sim. Once I tried to do anything romantic, it told me she wasn't interested and then the romance category was greyed out. I did not become partners or woohoo with her. Did you check the other sim's woohoo preferences? They are separate from romance preferences.
Yes, both woohoo and romance pref are men only, yet she was happily woohooing with ny female sim. Odd.
