Date Unsuccessful - Actions don't work --RESOLVED--

I only have one mod installed. It's a 'no culling' mod, so that townie generation won't butcher my family tree.  I've seen that people have had this issue before, but I haven't seen a solution yet (except that on one I saw someone suggest reinstalling and that feels really extreme?? Like, I'd rather not lose all my progress. x.x; )
Anyway, onto the issue.

I feel compelled to say I've been playing Sims 4, like, all week, obsessively, and all day today, and up until like now- this very hour- I haven't had this problem. But I had my teen sim invite her boyfriend on a date, and I took them out, and suddenly none of the actions were registering.

Like it'd say 'flirt with date while flirty'. And I did, and I can flirt and kiss and all that just fine- but on the little checklist it doesn't mark it off.
And the date won't completely finish, it'll be like seconds in, the circle nearly full, and suddenly it'll say 'Date unsuccessful  - no medal earned'. The date will cancel out. I thought maybe it was the lot I was on being glitchy, so I invited him on a date somewhere else, and it did the same thing. Then I exited and reopened the game- and it did the same thing. I must have asked this boy out like fifteen times in the last half hour.

I have never had this problem before, like I said, and I've had the mod now for about a week. x.x; I mean I can get rid of it, if that's the problem. But can a mod work just fine and then suddenly flip it's lid?

-- Edit : I fixed my own problem. I opened up Origin, right clicked on my copy of Sims 4 and chose to repair the game. Apparently it was a problem with the files or something. But for future reference this should, obviously, fix it for anyone else who has this problem. --
