Disappearing objects - Sims 4

My sim just came back from a date to find that her stove, kitchen worktop, bookshelf, door archway and several windows had just completely disappeared... When I go back into build mode to replace the...

I have been building a house on and off for a few days.  Each day when I open my last saved file and go directly into build mode, I discover objects have disappeared and I need to replace them. First I noticed a kitchen wall cabinet kept disappearing and now it has also been table lamps. It is a house I am building on an empty lot so no sims occupy it.

I need to take pics of my progress each day so that I can revisit them to check what goes missing. Quite a pain.

And they are not in your family inventory ?

    I noticed that if you have resized an object, let's say, a painting. Anything it intersects will dissappear when I either edit the house, or travel. So I had a door, and a resized painting beside it, the door dissapeared.  I had a resized plant next to a wall with a tv and sidetable. I added a staircase to the house, and the tv was moved to the inventory, along with the sidetable, anything on the sidetable, and the trashcan on the other side of the wall. (and also the fireplace on the other end of the room...)
