[DU] Engineering: Tinkering does not register for work without leaving lot

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.70.84.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? all of them
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? get the job fabricator, they want tinkering as part of the dailies.
What happens when the bug occurs? He can tinker and his abilities rise, but for the job it won't register that he even started tinkering.
What do you expect to see? the job registering tinkering is started and done.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. it started after the downloading of the new pack, paranormal.

My sim is  in the fabrication job, the daily is to tinker on robot machine.  But that does not show even started or finished.  He can tinker for hours on end, it never shows, and advancement in work seems to depend on it.  This started after the paranormal pack download. and weather there is the mccc mod or not it is the same.

    you can tinker and get experience from it on all items.  BUT you do not get tinkering credit for jobs.   This started happening after paranormal came out.  I have fixed the game, and I have went out and reloaded the game, I took out mccc mods still the same thing, so its not the mod.  How do I fix this or get it fixed?

    Sorry, I couldn't duplicate this. Make sure your Sim is using the Robotics Workstation and let your Sim finish Tinkering once he starts.

    I'm guessing you meant the Engineer career since I couldn't find a Fabricator career. I had my Sim change jobs from Freelancer/Paranormal Investigator to Engineer/Support Technician. His Daily Task is Tinker at Robotics Workstation. I sent him to Larry's Lagoon in Britechester and had him Tinker at Robotics Workstation. One of those progress circles came up in his queue around the action. The Daily Task went from Not Started to Complete once the progress circle was filled and the action ended.

    This appears to be one of the newer form of Daily Task, where you have to finish the entire task at one time. No credit is given for partial progress. If the task gets interrupted, for any reason, you have to start over from the beginning. I don't like this form of Daily Task but the developers have been using it for most of the recent careers.

    No, and Yes, seems that if they leave the lot and return it works, but just going to work and coming home does not.  I am working around it.
