[DU] Servo can't be tuned

It wasn't a problem a few days ago, but suddenly the option under Plumbot to Tune It disappeared. It doesn't matter whether the sim trying to fix him has max robotics skill, or whether I enhance the Servo through cheats, and I even checked to see if it changed with max friendship level!

But nothing. The option is just gone. I have no mods, no cc, and the option was there before. It just... vanished.

I have by now opened and closed the game plenty of times, moved the Servo to another household, tried saving, tried going in CAS and coming back, anything.

so please help 🙏 the only other instance of this issue I could find here resolved itself

  • @marroc-bold Is this just happening on this particular servo or any ?

Did you tune it before or or did it disappaer before you had a chance to tune it ?
  • It's happening to EVERY Servo. The option was there before with the first Servo I made, and it then disappeared for all the other ones. Now no Servo, across different saves even, can be tuned.

@marroc-bold I haven't really played with servoes ever so I can't really help with. Maybe someone else can jump in and has an idea what's going on.

@marroc-bold I can't tune Servos either. I'm on Xbox Series X. It's been quite a while since I played with them and I was wondering if I was imagining being able to tune them in the past. I just figured I'd remembered incorrectly. But if you think it has been possible to do it before then maybe this is an issue.

@marroc-bold I've got this to work now by uninstalling and reinstalling Discover University. Then I moved each Servo in turn into the home of their creator. Once they'd moved in she was able to Tune them and Modify them where before there was no Servo menu in the interactions at all.

At work (because they all work at the Science Lab) she couldn't Tune up Servos that did not live with her and they were constantly broken down and miserable.

Also, when she visited a Servo that didn't live with her there was no Servo menu again and she was only able to repair a broken down Servo but not Tune or Modify them. When all Servos lived together again, the Servo menu was back where before it was missing. It should be just underneath Actions on the Social interactions wheel menu.

So I've moved all Servos back to their own home all tuned up and a lot happier than they were before. I also gave them the Carefree reward trait as they were constantly tense.

Hmm, I'm not sure because all my Servos lived with their creators and I've tried moving them to another household and then moving them again with their creator, and it hasn't worked. But I will try uninstalling and installing Discover University anyways, hopefully that will fix it 😅 Anyhow, thx for all the answers so far!!

@marroc-bold You're welcome I hope it works for you.
I created mine at the science lab and couldn't do anything with them initially even though they were added to my Sim's household.
But it's such a long time since I played with Servos I was trying to remember how it should work.
