[DU] Sim doesn't change out of Debate Uniform

All expansions except for Get Together and Get Famous, Dine Out, Outdoor Retreat, Spa Day, Realm of Magic, Kids Room Stuff, My First Pet Stuff, Cool Kitchen Stuff, Luxury Party Stuff, Moschino Stuff, Holiday Celebration and Grim's Ghoulish Guitar
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have your Sim participate in the Debate Showdown
What happens when the bug occurs? The debate outfit stays on the Sim when it ends
What do you expect to see? The Sim no longer in the debate outfit after the Debate Showdown ends
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure
One of my Sims was at the UBrite Commons and when I decided to have him participate in the Debate Showdown he switched into the debate outfit but didn't change back after the event ended.
I tried looking up if there was any issue with it and apparently there was back in 2019, but I guess it was fixed. But for me it's not happening in all my Sim's outfit categories like the issue from 2019; it's happening in one.
I tried entering CAS but it showed as his normal outfit but when I would exit or hit Play, when it loaded back into Live Mode he was still in it (the debate outfit). And this was after I had him travel back to the dorms.
I also tried switching him to his cold weather outfit (which stayed the same also when I switched to it) and entering CAS then exiting and his everyday outfit was fine but the debate outfit just went right over his cold weather outfit.
I also just tried resetting him with the resetsim cheat but that didn't work either.
And yes I tried to save and exit to the main menu but on the save picture it shows him in the debate outfit and when I went back into the game he was still in it too. Showering before that didn't help either, he just changed back to the debate outfit!
I luckily did manage to find a fix to this though. All I did was create a second outfit slot, chose the outfit I chose for his everyday outfit and went back into Live Mode and he appeared in his chosen everyday outfit. Debate outfit was still showing in the first slot but I didn't know if deleting the first slot would just show the debate outfit over the one I chose for the second slot (that is if you can delete the first slot) so I just left it.
Got on this morning to play and the debate outfit showed over the second outfit so I switched him to his first and later checked his outfits and the debate one was gone from the second slot.
So if anyone has this issue like I do you could just do what I did as a solution for now.
