After getting the sims 4 For Rent expansion pack and starting a new game, when i went to load the game to play it again, it give me a loading error. I have tried relaunching the game, removing all my mods and cc, restarting my computer (mac), restarting origin and nothing has worked. I uninstalled the sims 4 for a second time and downloaded all my packs exception for For Rent and the game was able to load properly. I also tested to see if it was a problem with any mods or cc I had so while For Rent was not installed, I added all the ones that I previously had as part of my game back in and it was still able to play. Finally, I downloaded For Rent again the error appeared once more. Is this just an error that people are having with the new expansion pack or is there something else?
Edit By Crinrict: Adjusted Title to better reflect the issue
I'm new to posting here, so I don't know the proper form to share my information, but I have this issue (with an error code "132:ba433161:d0ca6bde") after the latest expansion, "For Rent" comes out.
I checked my LE, and there was an error regarding ladders. As such, I have tried to adjust them or just delete them, but it was unclickable; it says, "Cannot make changes outside owned area." I think it's very similar to the issues with apartments about three years ago, but in my case, it's a residential rental lot.
Fortunately, I noticed that the ladders are still clickable when the game launches before loading households. This may be helpful for those who are struggling with this issue.
Although, as for me, the error is occurring after deleting the ladders too (I attempted some times, but I might have missed some ladders?)
I have also tried without mods, just in case. Also, I haven't used TOOL and any mods regarding ladders, but the lot has been made by other player, and at least it uses "moveobject" cheat.
I'm going to wait for the next update for now with expectation because it seems to be alright as long as I don't load the lot where the error is.
EDIT: Solved.
I had no idea about AllCheats that was mentioned above and how to figure IDs, but I checked some posts regarding Error Code 132, and I learned how to use it. I even believed the error was "132:ba433161:d0ca6bde", not "132."
Install AllCheats, open console (Ctrl+Shift+C) in build or buy mode, then type "objects.list adder" in this case (not a typo). Check objects' IDs, type "objects.destroy (ID you see)".
Confirm there are no ladders any more by typing "objects.list adder" again.
It was working for me. I placed new ladders but it seems to be okay at all.

I merged a few threads on this cause there seems various 132 that are the same: a corrupt ladder.
To find out if you have this or another 132, check the Last Exception file found in documents. Open it with a text editor and check if it says anything about ladders. If it does, this is your problem.
For Mod users or people not afraid to try a mod solution.
- Download TwistedMexis AllCheasts Mod. This mod will allow you to use all game cheats that have been disabled by EA. If you use MC Command Center or other mods that do the same, you won't need this. For convienence I also recommend Better Cheat Console which allows you to copy/paste from the cheat console.
- Backup your save game and load that backup.
- Load your game with Load instead of Resume.
- Open the lot in build mode from the map
- Open the cheat console and type: objects.list adder (this is not a typo)
- You will see list of ladders. Next to the object you will see an ID (0x0...).
- Start with the top one and delete all the ladders with the cheat: objects.destroy <ID>. Test after every ladder if it starts loading. If there's lots of ladders you can also delete them in groups.
- Once you found the ladder(s) that are causing the issue, you can either just leave them all out and go back to playing or you can load your current game and delete just the ladder that was giving issues. The ID stays the same so you can just use the destroy cheat (AllCheat still necessary)
For People on Console/Not wanting to use mods
I'm afraid I don't have a solution. You can try to just manually delete all the ladders on your lot but sometimes that causes issues. Please follow this steps exactly: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Game-Issues/Error-Code-132-lt-Various-Numbers-gt-Corrupt-Ladders/m-p/13433983#M4167

Hi, here's an alternative, mod-free (so console safe) fix for when deleting the ladders won't work:
You have a broken lot, caused by broken ladders (even if there are no ladders on the lot--can be regular ladders, pool ladders, ocean ladders)Solution:
- move out any sims that live there
- save the lot to your library (optional, if you want to keep the lot)
- bulldoze
- do a save-as from live mode or build more (not from the world)
- place a new lot with a different lot type (if you started with residential, maybe place a nightclub)
- save-as
- place a second lot with a different lot type (maybe park)
- save-as
- place a third lot with a different lot type (maybe bar)
- save-as
- place the original lot again (or a different one)
All steps must be followed in order to make sure it will workIf there's a similar bug report around for stairs, this works on that too (and is how the fix was originally discovered)- 10 months ago
This is an old thread so not sure if you’ll see this however I did your method as I’ve had 132 code error and unable to play in live mode (build mode works) and it’s still giving me the same error. Could I get a 132 code and it not be a ladder issue?
thank you
