An update to this report. I had not followed up as this issue seemed to resolve itself somehow but now it is back. I have gone on two dates this sim week with no problem but now my past two dates have ended before they've even begun. When the lot loads I get a notification that the event (date) has ended and that I've earned Bronze :/ .
@LeccaLovesYou There are some known issues with dates such as teen vamps can't have dates during the day and issues if you invite a specific Sim or are invited by Sims.

I've had this happen too several times and both my Sims were human so it's not an occult thing, I thought it was because a celebrity entered the lot since it did that with service sims such as DJ's and Bar Tenders but when I try again even without celebrity sims showing up it immediately ends
