Do Sims get a moodlet around the fridge ? Did you try if going traveling gets rid of the cloud ?
I have the ever dirty refrigerator since the last patch. Sims don't get the dirty surroundings moodlet but fridge has persistent stinky waves. Seems to happen once food does spoil, is cleaned out but stinky emitters persist. Checked the food, nothing spoiled, moved frige out - back in, replaced - doesn't matter -high end or low grade - the stink cloud persists. Tried the shift-click to "make clean" but that option doesn't show, tried resetting -doesn't work. I think at one time exiting the game and coming back in resolves it but it comes back.
I've had that before but for me traveling always made it be gone for good.
